Dr. Bill Braithwaite, Ankam CMO, recently spoke at the San Franciso Healthcare Stimulus Exchange Road Show. His remarks were titled, "The IT Anatomy of Healthcare Reform: Health Information Exchange is the Backbone". Dr. Braithwaite laid out his view of the logical dependencies between health information exchange and the long term national goal of higher quality, lower cost healthcare. He also discussed the major barriers to achieving the required infrastructure and how current national standards and incentive programs can support the industry in moving in the right direction.
